Some of the useful sites I have found and joined are below:
www.121temps.com - this site is based in Australia, and Liz Parker the CEO, is a fabulous woman who will help you every step of the way. Once you become a member you are treated as one of the agency.
www.virtuallyyours.com.au - Rosie was very helpful. She will send business cards to you to help with promotion, give you all the advice you need, and the best part, once you join the Yahoo Group, you communicate with other VA's who are all doing the same as you.
www.odesk.com - This site is a great way to start attracting clients. Once you've filled in your details, taken their standard odesk test, you can start applying to all of the advertised jobs. I have found numerous jobs through this site. And the best part your assisted all the way.
There are a number of websites online, that will help you become a qualified VA, just remember they aren't free but having the permission to place an approved logo on your site is a good thing.
Don't forget to make your free website. I think this is a brilliant idea, as before you start paying out every month for a professional one, this gives you an idea on the kind of traffic you will obtain and if you get a call out of it, it can't be bad. I currently use www.webstarts.com this is a free website service. They have some great templates and instructions are clear and precise. In minutes you too can have a professional looking website, that you created on your own.
These are just an example of the sites, and places to look.. After all we all are just wanting our Virtual Assistant business to succeed.
Hopefully this has helped even if just a little bit.
